Now, let’s take a closer look at how VLAND headlights are made — step by step.
Step 1: Determining the Design Plan
Every Vland headlight begins with research and design.
Before production, our R&D team conducts detailed market and product analysis for each vehicle model. After multiple brainstorming sessions and design meetings, the most feasible development plan is chosen.
Once finalized, our engineering team creates a 3D model of the headlight design — defining the lighting layout, aesthetics, and internal structure.

Step 2: Building the Headlight Mold
Mold making is the foundation of headlight manufacturing.
Each headlight consists of three main molds: housing, lens, and shroud.
Creating a high-precision mold takes time — it undergoes multiple modifications, tests, and refinements to ensure the final product meets exact design and safety standards.
Only after a mold passes all evaluations does it move into mass production.


Step 3: Manufacturing the Housing, Shroud, and Lens
Some people compare headlight manufacturing to “making a burger” — layered, precise, and detail-oriented.
While it’s far more complex, the analogy highlights how each component must be perfectly crafted and combined.
VLAND uses a central feeding system that injects high-grade PC (polycarbonate) material into the mold to shape the housing, shroud, and lens.
After molding, workers carefully wipe, coat, and heat-cure each part to prevent scratches, static damage, or yellowing over time.
These steps ensure every VLAND lens remains crystal clear and durable.


Step 4: Producing the Circuit Board (SMT Technology)
The circuit board is the heart of every headlight.
To ensure optimal lighting performance and long lifespan, VLAND adopts SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and reflow soldering — the same advanced methods used in high-end electronics.
After SMT printing, each board goes through AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and multiple manual checks to eliminate any defects.
The LED chips and other components are then soldered to the board through precise hot-plate welding, followed by testing and aging procedures to verify stability and performance.


Step 5: Headlight Assembly
Once all components are ready, the assembly process begins.
VLAND technicians install the projector lens, LED board, bulbs, and wiring according to the original 3D design.
Each assembly is hot-melt sealed to bond the lens, shroud, and housing together — ensuring airtight protection from dust and moisture.
After this stage, the product becomes a fully assembled VLAND headlight.


Step 6: Quality Testing and Inspection
The testing stage of headlight installation is an important step to ensure the quality of the headlight, all headlights will undergo a series of tests before leaving the factory. Headlight flow test, anealing heat treatment and so on will be carried out in this part.

Every box includes protective foam layers and shock-resistant materials to ensure safe delivery worldwide.
